Interiors Guide 2011-12
Welcome...
...to the third edition of our annual Interiors Guide. We are passionate about interiors, design and recycling. We love the fact that objects from all periods tell a story, and bring personality, originality and a sense of style to the home. So, we’ve put together a guide that doesn’t tell you how to get the look or dictate what’s hot and what’s not when decorating your home. And fashions and fads that don’t come and go for just this season but seemingly last forever, evolving with time. It’s an approach that has nothing to do with trends and certainly nothing to do with rules.
County MapThere is a considerable demand for unusual, quirky, decorative and antique furniture from the 18th through to the 20th century. And as more and more dealers and designers choose to buy outside the confines of London, so the homeowners will follow.
For the private buyer, interior designer, and trade, the counties outside of London can not only offer great inspiration and value for money, but it’s also about harking back to a time where quality, value, and customer care was paramount. We have travelled far and wide in selecting some great independent businesses to visit, and our extensive guide is packed full of great finds for the design addict with a passion for styling their homes in an individual way. So, if you enjoy eclecticism, then take a look at our selection of experts, who obviously have great fun mixing items together from different periods for a unique look.
The guide is divided into ten counties for your convenience, however the majority of our entries also have great websites, and therefore we’ve also created an online version, which is a great way to go window-shopping from the comfort of your own home!
These businesses are Internet friendly and are continually updating their stock – so keep checking online for new finds. Visit: www.homexplorer.com for the online version, where you simply click on each advert to either email or visit the website.
